Vortex development

Fig 3 - play repeatedly, and then drag the slider to examine the film frame by frame at one 25th of a second intervals.

The ball that is initially ejected appears to drag a spinning vortex from the still air. The vortex then remains remarkably stable and continues in a straight line for 10-15 meters.
