" I was pleased to see an illustration of Isaac Newton holding a triangular prism in the apex-down position. This was how Newton must have held it, or there would have been ultrared and infraviolet. Most modern authors get this wrong. They have the apex upward. It is a small detail, but if they get little things right, the rest should be OK as well."Book review - author unknown.

The editor remembers trying to cast the solar spectrum on a wall with the prism apex-up, as shown in a book. He soon realized the book was, in fact, wrong.
