Speed

Speed is the magnitude (size) of a velocity with no regard to direction.

When a mass is moving in a circle at constant speed it has a changing velocity (the direction of motion is constantly changing).

There are several ways to show that the velocity is not constant. The simplest is a vector diagram subtracting v2 from v1.
