Period

The period T (in seconds) of any repetitive motion is the reciprocal of frequency in cycles per second (Hertz).

The period of the conical pendulum is the time for the swinging mass to complete the circular motion.

Any oscillation, orbital motion, wave motion etc. is characterized by a period. For any simple harmonic motion the period is independent of the amplitude.
