Hot water at 90°C is poured into a cup at room temperaure. The cup is decorated with thermochromatic paint that changes color as the temperature rises. As the heat from the water 'soaks' through the cup the picture changes. To date the only applications that the editor is aware of for paints of this type are novelty items like that pictured. Any suggestions? For cups etc. try this company out of India ... |
