| A megaton range detonation above the atmosphere one minute after the event. The fireball is toroidal. The surrounding gas density is very low; there is no mushroom cloud, but white emission can be seen from the debris of the explosion above the expanding fireball.This event code named 'Orane' was one of a series of high altitude tests conducted over the Pacific by the US in the early 1960's. |
