Brewster window

When laser light passes down the tube through the plate, placed at the Brewster angle, for which the reflected and refracted rays are at right angles, the reflected ray is completely polarized with electric vector parallel to the angled surface. The transmitted ray is partly polarized. Axial laser light that passes repeatedly between the terminal mirrors (not shown) becomes completely polarized.
