Drag |
Drag is associated with the passage of an object through a fluid (air, water etc.). Drag is due to the generation of turbulence, and, in strictly laminar flow, to inertial effects. Drag is not the same thing as friction, (the force that opposes motion when two undeformed surfaces in contact are in relative motion). |
